Depending on where you plan to use it or your specific requirements for functionality and design, different models may be suitable for you. If you feel uncertain as to which model is the most suitable for you, please contact one of the retailers, specially trained by Glatz, in the furniture and outdoor industry for a consultation.

With a side pole sunshade (also known as a traffic-light or free-arm sunshade), the pole is fitted in the side of the sunshade cover, but with a center pole sunshade, the pole is fitted in the center of the sunshade cover.
Whether you opt for a wooden or aluminium sunshade depends on your outdoor ambience and personal preferences. Wood changes naturally due to the effects of the weather and requires more maintenance. Aluminium is easy to care for and weather-resistant, making it suitable for uncomplicated use. To make a needs-based decision, we recommend seeking advice from a dealer in your area.
Glatz does not sell any products ex-works. Glatz is organized via a global network of retailers who are responsible for the product advice and sales. All of the retailers have signed a service contract with Glatz and are able to provide individual consultations at their retail outlets and/or at the place of use, as well as the processing of repairs inquiries and warranty.

In general, five mounting options are available at Glatz
Fixed anchorage in the ground
Base (with and without castors)
Balcony clamp (cable clamp)
Lawn spike
Wall clamp
The type of mounting depends on your local conditions (place of use, space conditions, ground conditions, foundations) and on the weight and size of your sunshade. Not every sunshade, for example, is suitable for attaching to a set of balcony railings. Further information on the mounting options are available here:
From modular heaters, light fittings and motorized drives, to protective covers, remote controllers, ground sockets, rain gutters, bases or mounting plates – Glatz offers a wide range of accessories that can be aligned individually to each model of sunshade. Regardless of the Glatz model that you choose, please ensure that you only use original accessories, which are 100 per cent compatible with our models of sunshade and ensure the best possible fastening and stability attributes. This is the only way to ensure the optimum performance and to fulfill the Glatz warranty.

Since the Glatz sunshade poles have different diameters depending on the size and model, a support tube is required as a binding element between your sunshade pole and your base or ground socket. A screw connection in the support tube enables you to mount your sunshade pole in the optimum way.
When purchasing a Glatz fixation, please be sure to order the correct support tube at the same time. If you have any questions about the compatibility of your support tube, your Glatz dealer will be happy to assist you.

Please note that the colors shown in the flyer and online area are never 100 percent binding, and can look a little different in reality. The Glatz retailers have a collections folder containing original fabric samples and can give you can professional advice on the choice of colors and fabric quality.
If the zipper on the protective cover is broken, it is necessary to replace the entire protective cover. Please check whether the case of damage has occurred within the two-year warranty period, and if this is the case, report the case of damage to the retailer from whom you purchased your product. If the damage has occurred after the two-year warranty period has elapsed, you can order a new protective cover from your retailer.
It is generally possible to replace roof struts that are broken or defective on all Glatz models. Depending on the model of Glatz sunshade, basic technical knowledge (garden sunshades) or advanced technical knowledge (giant sunshades) is required, however. Glatz recommends that the replacement work is completed by an expert. Please consult the retailer from whom you purchased the product for the appropriate assistance.
In cases of breakage or damage, it is generally necessary for the degree of damage to be assessed by an expert. It is not possible to repair all cases of damage. To assess the damage, your retailer will require the precise product designation and a description of the damage. It is advisable to send the retailer a photo of the damage and a copy of the invoice to make a possible warranty claim. The best idea is to contact the retailer from whom you purchased the product or to inquire at a retailer in your locality.
As a manufacturer we often get asked whether a direct delivery from the factory is possible. Unfortunately, we do not have a repair department or a spare parts depot for individual dispatch.
If parts of your Glatz sunshade are broken, please contact the dealer from whom you purchased the sunshade. Dealers who sell the product as part of their range normally also have a Glatz spare part depot and will be able to quickly provide you with the part(s) you need. Don’t forget to enter the sunshade model for which you need spare parts when searching using the dealer finder.
With the Glatz spare parts search, it is possible to find the article number of the required spare part and send an inquiry directly to a dealer.
In exceptional cases, e.g. if your dealer has gone out of business or you are not satisfied with your Glatz dealer, you can send us your request directly via the support form.
Not every spare part can be easily replaced by our end customers. Some are more complex processes that require specialist technical knowledge. It is not always immediately obvious which spare part is the right one. GLATZ advises you to contact the dealer from whom you purchased the sunshade or a dealer in your area. Spare parts can only be ordered from one of our distributors.

On the models in this range, the height underneath the sunshade can be increased with a pole extension. This is a customized product which is adapted and manufactured individually according to the customer's requirements. Please contact the “specialists for the hotels and gastronomy sector” in your locality in order to obtain a corresponding offer.
Instructions on how to operate the radio control systems are included in the corresponding instructions manual. Sunshades with radio control are programmed so that they are ready for use ex-works, and can also be programmed according to the specialist requirements of the project. If any further changes are required or if reprogramming is necessary following a repair, we recommend that you complete them with a Glatz sales partner.
