SWOC relaunched last week

I've been working on the SWOC site recently, creating some custom theming and redesigning some of the Drupal architecture. The site was originally created by MentorNet, and they hired designer Micah Kasman to create an exciting new look. It was a fun challenge to realize some of his design concepts in a new theme.

The relaunched site (here's my portfolio page) had few interesting twists to it. It uses content profile to create extended user profiles, but they didn't like the look of the default display and editing interfaces. I designed some template files and added some code to template.php, and viola! It has a nice open feel, with lots of space.

The professional history and education fields are lists of node references. It took a bit of twisting (and the noderelationships module) to allow editing of these lists, making them easier for less technically skilled members to do their own editing.
