finally got the outdoor lights up

in

Ah, it's finally starting to feel like the holidays. I normally do this the day after Thanksgiving, but between bouts of bad weather and the difficulty of finding things after cleaning up the garage last summer, time dragged on.

Cindy picked up some retro light sets at the thrift shop for a buck. I've been trying to migrate to the more efficient and less fussy LED sets, but there were a couple of chains with  huge C9 1/4 bulbs I couldn't resist. They are the Hummers of outdoor lights - wasteful, arrogant, and in your face. But the comparison ends there; the lights are strong and beautiful and can cut through fog and rain, unlike their greener cousins. I figure a few weeks isn't going to cause the power grid to collapse.
